Sean Abbott was crowned the 2015 Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year

PHILLIP Hughes and Sean Abbott will be indelibly linked following the tragic circumstances that unfolded at the SCG in November.

But 27/01/2015 night in Sydney, exactly two months to the day since Hughes’ passing, another permanent bond was made between the pair at the Allan Border Medal — one which celebrated the brilliant talent and promise of the two young men.

Abbott was crowned the 2015 Bradman Young Cricketer of the Year, the same title awarded to Hughes in 2009, when he too had the world at his feet.
